Message	It transfers heat better But mass is part of the equation of heat transfer. Aluminum is about 3x lighter but weaker thans steel (rule of thumb) there are alloys and all so i dont want to go in depth. so it may be lighter but have to be beefed up to hold up(stress) so the mass may not be 1/3 of steel calipers Yes I assume it will dissipate heat faster EatMoreRice ! 1993 300zx NA [MANual]
